Biography - Lucille R. Zanghi, LA’72

Lucille ZanghiLucille R. Zanghi is a retired stockbroker and financial planner, who graduated from Northeastern's College of Liberal Arts in 1972 with a degree in history. After graduation, her successful career ultimately led to her position as a vice president for Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc., one of the nation's largest stock brokerage firms. Lucille retired from that position in 1996, and today pursues personal interests and serves on non-profit boards.

Lucille has remained closely involved with Northeastern as an honorary trustee. To ensure Northeastern's continued tradition of excellence, she has pledged a planned gift as a member of the Frank Palmer Speare Society and generously supports the 21st Century Scholarship program. She is also a member The Huntington Society, the University's most prestigious vehicle for philanthropic support.

The New England Technology Foundation recently presented Lucille and her husband, James Dow, LA'72, the Innovative Philanthropist Award for their significant contributions to Dana Farber's High-Technology Multidisciplinary Research Fund. She is a past trustee of the Wang Center for Performing Arts and the Brookline Education Foundation. Currently, Lucille serves as a trustee of Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, and as a member of the Dana Farber Visiting Committee and the Barnard College Parents' Committee. 

Lucille and her husband reside in the Boston area, and have two children.
