Robert W. Smith is a civil engineer who began his 42-year career at Eastman Kodak as a Northeastern co-op student. Bob received his bachelor's of science degree in civil engineering in 1937, and his associate of engineering degree from Northeastern's Lincoln Institute in 1947.

An active member of the Northeastern community, Bob was the president of his reunion class and was a member of the Boston Society of Civil Engineers. He is a longstanding member of the Frank Palmer Speare Society.
Bob resides on the North Shore of Boston. He and his late wife, Elva, have two children, Jean Fierro and Thomas W. Smith, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
